The Michael Lorden Memorial Scholarship has given eight scholarships to date.
On awards night, May 31, 2007, Julie Lorden presented scholarships ($2000.00 each) to student athletes Nick Cannata and Austin Healy (Westford Academy), and Steven Bentley from Townsend, Ma (Nashoba Valley Technical School).
Past recipients are Divig Mathew, Patrick Gendron, Joseph Parise and Kevin Porter (Westford Academy), and Brian Jones (Nashoba Technical School).
MISSION STATEMENT
The Michael J. Lorden Memorial Fund : The memorial scholarship was founded to help keep Michael's memory alive and to benefit the student athletes in the Westford Schools. We have formed two perpetual scholarships to be awarded every year to Westford Academy students. We are also incuding the Nashoba Regional Technical School, for a student athlete advancing their career in Plumbing and Heating. We are hoping to raise enough money to give back to the wonderful community of Westford, who has supported us through this tragic time.
